I couldn't believe my ears! Mr. Briseno is not even willing to hear what employees have to say before deciding to return the Superintendent?! I can't understand how a School Board member would not want a thorough investigation of how she treats people. By wanting her back before they investigate is the same as telling this community that it's okay to treat employees poorly, it's okay to maintain chaos in our school system, and it's okay to ignore the pleas of those who work with our students. Mr. Briseno, shame on you!

Absolutely gutless, with not a shred of integrity. The board has now made a very public demonstration of its total incompetence and complete lack of courage. Hand they any honor, the members would "fall on their sword" and resign. They might then save a shred of dignity.

Okay- everyone on the planet needs to call our 4 school board members that might vote to oust Sonia Diaz. Briseno will not waiver. Call Gene Gant, Sharon Wooden, Chuck Davis and John Schwebke. Email them, call them! If Diaz comes back to work, more than 15 great professionals at LCPS will resign. All are looking for jobs -as of this minute. We hear that Jo Galvan Nash, Karen Robles and Dorothy Anderson are next to be fired for unknown, created reasons.

Wake up Las Cruces...these are loyal, dedicated personnel that have dedicated their lives to this district and our kids. How many more professionals will leave because of this woman's reign of terror? Read for yourself. Don't take what I say...go to connecticutpost.com and read about the reign of terror that took them 4 years to get rid of her. Go to New York Public Schools...look at their declining test scores, & fiscal mismanagement at the hand of Sonia Salcedo-Diaz. Look at the jobs she created for John Marsilio, De Stefano, Tolbert and others. She has a pre-approved agenda and it does not include raising our student's test scores or leading our district in a direction befitting this savvy community. OUR CHILDREN DESERVE THE BEST SUPERINTENDENT!!!!

We are not stuck with three of the board members. If the State comes in and removes the present board, then all seats are open. There is hope and a light at the end of the tunnel.Come on PED!

I have heard many people guessing at Dr. Diaz' psychiatric diagnosis. Well, there is not doubt in my mind about it - she has a Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

The American Psychiatric Association (DSM-IV) lists the following criteria for the disorder.At least five (5) of the following indicators:
1. A grandiose sense of self-importance.
2. Is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love.
3. Believes that she is "special" and unique and can only be understood by, or associate with, other special people.
4. Requires excessive admiration.
5. Has a sense of entitlement.
6. Is interpersonally exploitive.
7. Lack empathy.
8. Is envious of others or believes that others are envious of her
9. Shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes.

It is clear to me that Dr. Diaz has met all of the nine criteria, not just five! To make matters worse, people with this disorder usually do not recognize it, typically do not seek treatment, and even if such a person does seek treatment, it is unlikely to produce any improvement. Do we want the LCPS to go down the tubes at the hands of a mentally ill leader! I hope not!
