How to Run for School Board?

For those who may be thinking of running for school board I would like to see some information on this blog. How do you apply? What credentials do you need? Who can apply? Who is up for re-election? What districts are they in? Etc... I don't think most people have a clue. I know I don't, but I know some fine people who might run if they knew when or how. Also, I read that we only need 3000 signatures. Would an LCPS employee get fired for getting those signatures? Would they get fired for being one of those 3000 signatures? Blogger comment: I'll do some research and find out about filing and the requirements. If anyone out there knows, fill us in.
