I guess Diaz thought she was coming to little ole NM and get us all in shape since she was from the big city. Well we aren't as dumb as she might think. I think an investigation is in order of the board, Diaz and her mob she brought with her.

Could someone tell me why the super needed a shower in her office? Most people do that at home. Blogger comment: Is this true? Can anyone confirm this?

It is going to take the parents and teachers to stand up to the board. How can teachers teach our kids in an atmosphere like LCPS has. Moral is low! We have lost qualified men and women in the administration dept., now she will start on the teachers. Our board is a disgrace to our community. It seems to me that the board didn't really investigate our new Supe before they hired her. How much more are we as parents and teachers going to take? Are we just going to sit back and do nothing and let it all go down the Supes new toilet?

Don't forgot to add to the list of people who resigned due to Diaz - her secretary who is such a great lady.

Add Dan Shearin. Karn Bush- JoAnn Patton's former secretary (she had no job responsibilities left, since Dr. Patton's job was vacant); Rumor has it that she was after Dr. Diemer in human resources. Can anyone confirm this. Mr. Schutz- did he retire or did she force him out? Is it true that human resources, finance and textbooks are all directly reporting to Dr. Diaz?

Several principals had a chance to meet with all the candidates for superintendent before they hired Diaz. Together, the principals presented their choices, in order, of who they deemed a worthy candidate. Diaz was their last choice.

I applaud those administrators who've cultivated school climates with both student learning and student growth foci! There've been rumors of the Superintendent berating administrators in front of their peers and chastizing teachers in front of their students (for dress, not posting learning objectives...). There are more effective approaches to improving school systems...how is this behavior promoting learning? Has anyone heard of a clear plan from "she who shall remain nameless" which draws to light an educational vision and a plan to advocate student achievement, for all students? At least with Martinez their was a plan and a focus on LEARNING!
