Commenting in the Blog - How To
I have no earthly idea how this blog works and I know of many others who want to write in but are afraid that their E-mail addressess will somehow fall into the wrong hands. If there is someone who "runs" this blog, can you explain whether E-mails can be exposed? A list of writers turned over to the Superintendent would mean disaster for many employees.
If you want to comment, all you need to do is click on the green word "Comment" at the end of any article. A window will open titled "Leave your comment." Type in your comment. At the bottom of the are where you write your comment are three choices as to your identity. Choose "Anonymous".
You will then need to authenticate your comment by typing in the series of letters in red. This step prevents the blog from being spammed by automatic spam programs. After you type in the verification letters, click on "Log in and publish". You will then see a window that says your comment has been emailed to the blog owner.
The emails do not come from your account and do not reveal your identity.
If you choose to send an email from your personal email account, your identity will not be revealed and emails are deleted immediately after publishing. However, DO NOT send an email from a school email account. Any email that originates from your school account can be monitored.
If you have information that is longer than the comment window allows, you will need to email.

Sharon Wooden and John Schwbeke hold the two positions that will be elected in February . Maps are available at the Courthouse. Wooden's area is east of I-25. Schwebke's begins at the Luna County line and wraps around the District. Filing is in December.
Requirements are minimal reside in the district and be a register voter in the District. No IQ test or education required.
The problem with Sonia Diaz is indicative of the lack of professionalism, ethics, and morality of the current sitting school board. This board was unresponsive when 1500 persons marched on central office. They were unresponsive when three dozen employees risked their jobs to tell their stories to the school lawyer. They were unresponsive when 40 principals showed up at a board meeting and asked, no pleaded, for Charles White to be added to list of interviewees. They literally do not answer email or phone calls. The board must be recalled. The good with the bad. They need to go.
There is a lot more wrong with the schools than Diaz. I like the comment that each school is it's own community that is very true. However, for the most part teachers are treated with little or no respect in those communities. I am a teacher and quite frankly I am tired of begging for the supplies and equipment I need to do my job. It is humiliating to have to go to the secretary and beg for a roll of tape, a pen, or an expo marker. It is crazy. The desks and chairs our kids have to use or too small or broken. We have been told for the last three or four years that we can't order furniture. If we don't get some soon the kids will all be sitting on the floor.
